mid-day doggie walks

We’ll come to your home and walk your dog(s) in your neighborhood, and if you have more than one pooch, no problem. Additional dogs never cost more as long as they walk well together. Nice one, huh?

We stay out for at least 25 minutes—more when our schedule is loose and [rarely] a little less if we’ve had to squeeze in an emergency or the weather is dangerous. Of course, we always pick up after your pooch bags while we’re out and clean feet before we come back in.

Back inside, we visit and give them a once over to be sure paws and bod are in good shape. Then we wash and refill the water bowl and give food and medications if you have instructed. Finally, we get a good dog hug on the way out!

For extra fun, we sometimes bring our sweet dog Bear along to give your doggie the gift of a “sibling”. Dogs are pack animals who thrive on connection with their fellows. Or if you prefer, your dog can just have excellent one-on-one time. Either way, it will be a fun time.

So, let’s meet to setup daily walks or you can just put our number in your phone and give us a call when you’re held up at the office, want to stop off at happy hour before going home, or if you’re just home in bed with the sniffles. We always build in a little time for short-notice calls. We expect them!

dog is my co-pilot

For many dogs, riding in the car is the thrill they live for! We will pick up your pooch around the time you head out for work, have him ride along with us on our daily rounds visiting other pups, and have him home & waiting for you to arrive at the end of your day. Along the way your dog will go and do everything we do. From walking with others, to grabbing lunch on a patio, your dog will be our buddy for the day. Our goal is to give your dog the companionship you may not always have time to give yourself. We will even update you with emails, texts, or calls throughout the day!

doggie care when you travel

SillyBeast at-home care allows you to relax and enjoy your vacation or focus on your business trip without worrying about what’s going on at home, and it allows your dog to maintain her routine, be comfortable, and feel secure in her own home.

We promise to care for your doggie as if she were our own: feeding, playing, walking, affection, tending to ears, teeth, and nails … being with her. And poop-scooping the lawn and tending to kitty are part of the deal. In short, we’re there when you can’t be. And if you’d like to be driven to the airport in your own car so that you can say bye right there, that's included, too. No extra charge, including picking you up on your return.

For at-home care, we bill by the day instead of per visit because we visit a lot. The goal is to maintain a normal feeding and sleep schedule with at least three visits each day: 1) usual wake time; 2) mid-day; 3) usual dinner/bed time. Because we keep our service area small and book lightly, it is quite possible that we will visit even more often than that. If we pass near your home during our daily travels, we’ll drop by, if only for a quick check or to invite her to tool around with us for a while. We want to lessen anxiety she feels from wondering where you are.

As long as they’re not a wild herd, the fee is the same whether you have just one or two pups (additional $10 daily for 3 or more). If you’d like, we will even stay overnight in your home, including sleeping in the bed with your dog if you like and allow that. (Please call or email for additional fee info.) Finally, we make a special effort to visit more often for puppies or older dogs. We’ll offer you reassurance by phone, text, or email as often as you need, and you are free to check in with us as much as you like. We expect it.

kitty and birdie visits

So many dog lovers have other animals. If you have cats, birds (or something else), we’re still the right choice.

We prefer to visit at least once per day or more, of course, if you like. We realize that cats are more independent than dogs, but we want to know sooner than later if something is wrong. Most birds need lots of interaction not to be stressed.

We will look after your home as would a good neighbor, including tending to your plants, bringing in mail and newspapers, putting out and taking in the trashcan, and rotating lights and blinds. The idea is to make your home appear lived in and safe while you are away.

running wild

Many dogs require more exercise than they get on a typical walk. Some dogs are naturally high-spirited and love to get outside and stretch their legs with a good run. Others may like to overindulge on treats and need a little extra calorie depletion to compensate. Luckily we at SillyBeast are here for just such instances. Let us run your pooches! We begin each visit with a 5 min. warm up walk to get your pup’s blood flowing. Once warmed up, we head out for a good 35 min. run tailored to your dog’s fitness and natural pace. During the run we pay close attention to your dog’s health and make sure he is comfortable, with rest stops if necessary. After our run, we will take a 5 min. cooldown walk and make sure to offer plenty of H2O. Each visit lasts approx. 45 min.

doggie day at the farm

Living in the city definitely has its advantages. But sometimes our four-legged friends enjoy time in the country to get back to their roots. We have the luxury of having a family owned, dog loving horse farm set in the rolling hills just outside of Peachtree City to share with your dogs!

We will pick your pooch up in the morning, securely transport them to the farm, and allow them to pretend they are real country dogs for the day (Leashes optional depending on dogs comfort and owner requests). Your dog will be supervised continuously throughout her stay at the farm. No dogs will be allowed in pastures with horses to ensure their safety. Plenty of time running and playing for your dog, and we even have a pond and creek for cooling off during the hot Georgia summers. Baths will be included if your dogs require, before heading home. We will deliver your dog back to you at the end of the day with the same contented attitude as a human returning from a peaceful trail ride out West. what to expect: very easy and simple

We want settling with us to be a mere blip in your weekly chores. Bills are emailed, and you can click to pay right online with a credit card via PayPal.

For service when you travel, you’ll get a bill upon your arrival back home that is due on receipt, pretty please. For everything else, we tally up and email bills at the end of the week. If you prefer to be billed bi-weekly, twice monthly, monthly, or to coincide with your pay period, it’s no problem at all. We just tell the computer when to do it, and it happens; it’s not work for us … really. Don’t hesitate to say what you want. We want it to be quick and convenient for you so that bills are paid on receipt, pretty please. (Ha - we repeat.)

We try really hard to keep it simple. We don’t generally charge by number of animals. So in most cases, whether you have just one doggie, two dogs, a dog and a cat, two dogs and a cat, a fish pond out back, little Susie’s hamster, even chickens (woo!), whatever, the fee is the same. (If you have a herd or you’re one of those hoarders we see on Animal Planet, then, um, we’ll have to discuss it!)

We never charge for mileage or extras like giving medications, brushing teeth, light brushing, and keeping nails trimmed and ears clean. We just don’t. Simple, remember? It’s all part of the deal.
